What’s Going on With This Site
So I thought I would post an update…this site basically was a redesign to try and see how using the native BuddyPress features coupled with WordPress would work out as a way to post quick updates and information on the fly, vs. the extended amount of time it can take to do a proper blog post.

Having put the site on a feedback site (where others look through and provide comments about websites), some people have become confused at how the site is being used, so I thought I’d just do a quick posting to explain.

Basically, what I’m doing with the site is just posting up information as it flys by that might be beneficial to others…or information as I work on things that might be helpful to other people.

Since I do believe in the flexibility of BuddyPress and providing information in more of a ”Social Networking” type fashion, I think alot of people will be able to follow more random ”Wall” postings…and the forums are really well suited to provide more permanent information.

I am still doing blog posts, but when it gets busy, I like the ability that I can still get information to people on a quick, more realtime basis.  After a little time in service, I’ll probably be altering the site to look a little less community like and a little more journal like…but for now, judging from the user visits and time people are spending to read information, it is working for the purpose intended.

Some of the feedback has been great, so I’ll also be implementing some of the things people have stated could make the site easier to use.
